Proven scheme will provide widest-possible consumer choice across independent, convenience and High Street retailers

Following the success of trials conducted with Martin McColl, e-pay will extend its implementation of i-movo’s mobile marketing scheme to all its independent retailers and offer the same facilities to the many High Street, Supermarket and Forecourt retailers it serves nationwide. i-movo, a secure method to distribute cash-value vouchers to mobile phones using text messages can now be redeemed by customers on e-pay terminals at participating retail stores.

e-pay is the largest electronic payments processor of prepaid mobile airtime top-up services in the UK with a customer base that includes Argos, ASDA, Boots, Carphone Warehouse, Dixons Stores Group, Jet, Martin McColl, Morrison, Moto, Roadchef, Shell, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Total, Welcome Break, Woolworths and WH Smith as well as a significant network of independent retailers. e-pay has conducted numerous i-movo campaigns with Martin McColl since October 2006 yielding predictable redemption levels between 29% and 35%.

“We have worked with i-movo for over a year now and have a proven solution with experience to match,” said Andrew Dellow, Commercial Director of e-pay Ltd. “Recent announcements from our competitors in this area seem to set independent and convenience store retailers against their multiple counterparts.  We have always recognised both groups serve the public in different ways and extending our relationship with i-movo will give the customer the ultimate choice in where they spend their promotional vouchers which is the way it should be. Now, any of our retail partners can work with us to accept digital vouchers.”

“e-pay has unmatched penetration of independent, convenience, forecourt, high street and supermarket retailers and this coverage makes them an obvious partner for us to work with,” said David Tymm, CEO at i-movo “First and foremost, i-movo is a practical solution for secure digital marketing and so it uses simple and proven text-messages and card-payment technology.  As a result, and unlike other systems, i-movo is now proven as easy for all retailers to adopt.”
